The Bay

    As the morning tennis sessions at The Bay come to a close… I take time to reflect on all of the positivity this club has to offer…

    With the hectic schedules of the holidays behind us…there is time to breathe… it’s a beautiful, sunny day… a brisk 64 degrees… 

    Picture a Division 1 college player… home from school and on court teaching aspiring and extremely cute junior players… her own proud momma on the next court doing the very same… other mothers on court enjoying some of the best instructional and competitive tennis… complete with the camaraderie of teammates and friends…



    There is music… there is sunshine… and the most positive vibes pulling through this club… not out of the ordinary to see someone breaking into song or busting a move…

    Off in the distance you hear the giggles of a group of kids running around… playing an old school game of hide-and-seek (or how it is now called Man-Hunt)…but, nonetheless sans electronics…
    On another court you see two boys… one of which is also a Division 1 player… home for the holidays… and also his proud poppa on the very next court… ALWAYS watching… these boys are practicing with intensity that is both hypnotizing and entertaining…

The simplicity of this day is golden… it’s fun and silly and serious and competitive… and I am not sure why you would be anywhere else..
